World Thrombosis Day launches global survey on blood clot risks during pregnancy and postpartum
Survey available in 11 languages to assess awareness and education of women’s thrombosis risks
The World Thrombosis Day campaign announces the launch of a new global survey to assess the women’s awareness of thrombosis, commonly known as blood clots, and the use of anticoagulants during pregnancy and after delivery.
The survey, which is spearheaded by the ISTH World Thrombosis Day Steering Committee, should be completed by women that are pregnant or who have been pregnant within the last 12 months. It aims to collect key information that will guide efforts to improve patient education and health outcomes for women at risk of blood clots during pregnancy, postpartum and other critical life stages.
The survey is available in 11 languages, including German, Portuguese, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, Persian, Hindi, Thai, Japanese and Korean. The campaign hopes to ensure a global reach and maximize accessibility, making it easier for women around the world to participate.
Global partners and organizations are encouraged to share the survey widely through social media, newsletters, and email to help expand its reach.
