We invite you to get involved and celebrate World Thrombosis Day in October! Partner organizations and individuals from around the world gather together for events and activities to raise awareness of blood clots. We welcome activities that are either in-person or online. We encourage you to get creative as you plan! Together, we can help reduce the death and disability caused by thrombosis.
Meetings, Conferences and Workshops
Plan a conference or workshop that brings together healthcare professionals to discuss thrombosis.
Online Events
Host an online event, such as a webinar, live stream on social media, or simply posting campaign materials on your social channels.
Information Station
Set up an information station at your place of work or within your community that shares information about blood clots. Print free downloadable fact sheets and flyers to share at your event.
Marches, Rallies and Festivals
Gather on World Thrombosis Day to raise awareness of thrombosis in your community. Print banners and purchase t-shirts from the campaign merchandise store to help your participants stand out. Or host a dance competition or aerobics class to encourage others to get moving!
Arts and Cultural Events
Connect with local artists and playmakers to creatively raise awareness in your community.
Publications and Reports
If you published a study or report on thrombosis, please share it with the World Thrombosis Day campaign.
Press Conferences and Media Outreach
Utilize World Thrombosis Day press materials to reach out to local media outlets to obtain coverage of the campaign and raise awareness of thrombosis.
Competitions, Contests and Challenges
Get creative and host a competition, challenge or contest that encourages others to move as a way to recognize World Thrombosis Day. Utilize giveaways from the merchandise shop as prizes.
Illuminations
Light up a monument or landmark in your city in blue and red to recognize World Thrombosis Day. Most national landmarks will do this for free!
Webinars
