World Thrombosis Day Campaign Launches 2021 Award Nominations

Do you know an inspiring thrombosis advocate, patient, or survivor in your community? Did your organization host a successful event or activity for World Thrombosis Day (WTD)? Did you attend a spectacular WTD event last year that is worthy of being recognized?

If you answered YES to any of these questions, then we invite you to submit your nominations for the WTD 2020 awards program. The WTD 2020 awards recognize inspiring individuals and organizations who are dedicated to thrombosis awareness and advocacy in their communities. This year we are excited to offer two award opportunities, including the WTD Activity of the Year Award and the WTD Ambassador of the Year Award.

• WTD 2021 Ambassador of the Year Award: Recognizes an individual who is tremendously dedicated to thrombosis awareness and advocacy. This award is designed for thrombosis advocates, patients, survivors, volunteers, and/or organization representatives. Please note that healthcare professionals are not eligible for this award.

• WTD 2021 Activity of the Year Award: Recognizes a WTD partner organization that held an outstanding and successful WTD event and/or activity last year (January 2020-December 2020). Eligible candidates must be a WTD partner; individual candidates are not eligible. You can nominate your own organization, or someone may submit a nomination on your organization’s behalf.
