ISTH Launches New E-Learning Module on Hospital-Associated VTE
A new online educational course module on the topic of hospital-associated venous thromboembolism (VTE) is now available exclusively for healthcare professionals. The course, “The Burden of Hospital-Associated VTE: Facts Every Clinician Should Know,” was developed in collaboration between the ISTH and Medscape Education on behalf of the World Thrombosis Day campaign.
The online course is provided in an interactive video roundtable format featuring World Thrombosis Day scientific experts, including Dr. Gary Raskob, Dr. Jeffrey Weitz, and Dr. Alex Spyropoulos. The presentation focuses on three key topics, including the burden of thrombosis, VTE risk factors and assessment, and strategies for VTE prophylaxis. The course is targeted to healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, allied health professionals, and others.
