On September 25, 2026, Memorial Hospital Miramar will host a VTE Awareness Event focused on increasing community awareness, education, early recognition, and prevention of venous thromboembolism (VTE).
The event will highlight the collaborative efforts of Dr. Tuerff and Angelica Chang, BSN, RN, who are committed to advancing vascular and venous health and improving access to education within the community. As a Thrombassador with the National Blood Clot Alliance (NBCA), Angelica continues to champion VTE awareness through education, clinical initiatives, and community outreach, while collaborating with both the NBCA and American Heart Association (AHA) to expand awareness and help empower patients to recognize their risks and seek timely care. Together, these efforts reflect a shared commitment to Stop the Clot®, improve early recognition, and ultimately save lives.
