This educational event is organized to increase public awareness of venous thromboembolism (deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism) and to empower patients through evidence-based information. A multidisciplinary team of specialists in Internal Medicine, Hematology, Pulmonology, and Vascular Surgery will address key topics including the causes of thrombosis, available treatments, recovery after pulmonary embolism, and the management of post-thrombotic syndrome. Participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions directly to healthcare professionals during an open discussion session. The meeting will feature testimonials from expert patients, highlighting their personal experiences and the importance of patient engagement and peer support. Local anticoagulated patient associations have also been invited to participate, fostering collaboration between healthcare professionals, patient organizations, and the community. The event will conclude with the presentation of the eSalut digital health app and recognition of patient advocates. This event is open to patients, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and the general public.
