World Thrombosis Day Unveils 2021 Impact Report
The World Thrombosis Day (WTD) campaign is pleased to share the official WTD 2021 Impact Report showcasing the top highlights, activities, and results from this year’s campaign. WTD is a year-long campaign that takes place officially on 13 October each year, bringing together more than 3,000 partners in 123 countries to shine a spotlight on the condition of thrombosis to build awareness and save lives.
WTD outreach efforts resulted in a tremendous global reach of 6.1 billion impressions—the largest reach in the history of the campaign. In addition, WTD 2021 reached more than 5+ billion total media impressions and 320+ million impressions on social media, and more than 100 monuments and buildings across 21 countries illuminated in red and blue in honor of WTD.
The WTD campaign is led by a global steering committee of 15 thrombosis experts, including Chair Prof. Beverley Hunt, M.D., O.B.E, and Vice Chair Prof. Claire McLintock, M.D.
