ISTH partners with Sysmex to launch World Thrombosis Day expert discussion on thrombophilia screening
Charlotte, N.C., — World Thrombosis Day, a campaign of the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH), announces a collaboration with Sysmex for an expert discussion video on thrombophilia screening and its appropriate use in global thrombosis care.
The 45-minute interactive discussion will feature leading experts Lana Castellucci, M.D., Associate Professor at the University of Ottawa and previous chair of the World Thrombosis Day Steering Committee, and Cihan Ay, M.D., Professor of Hematology at the Medical University of Vienna and member of the World Thrombosis Day Steering Committee. Andreas Rechner, Ph.D., the Scientific Marketing Manager at Sysmex, will moderate the discussion.
The expert panel will discuss evidence-based approaches to thrombophilia testing and the impact that proper testing can have on improving patient outcomes and care.
