Publikation of a “Patient Safety Signal” für healthcare professionals

Patient Safety Signals (PSS) are regularly published and distributed to relevant health professionals and organizations. They are derived from in-depth analyses of medical treatment errors reported by members of the Techniker Krankenkasse (TK), a leading German health insurer. The insights gained from data analysis are turned into action-oriented signals designed to raise awareness about critical incidents, to prevent similar events and to foster a sustainable safety culture in practices and hospitals. In total, 18 PSS have been published so far.

On 13th Oktober 2025 a new PSS will be issued on the topic: Safely recognising and preventing thrombosis.
