World Thrombosis Day Campaign Launches 2020 Awards

Do you know an inspiring thrombosis advocate, patient, or survivor in your community? Did your organization host a successful event or activity for World Thrombosis Day (WTD)? Did you attend a spectacular WTD event last year that is worthy of being recognized?
If you answered YES to any of the above, we invite you to submit your nominations for the WTD 2020 awards program!
The WTD 2020 awards recognize inspiring individuals and organizations who are dedicated to thrombosis awareness and advocacy in their communities. This year we are excited to launch a NEW award to recognize the WTD Activity of the Year, in addition to the annual WTD Ambassador of the Year Award.
This is a fantastic opportunity to recognize a thrombosis “superstar” in your community. See below for more information about each award and submit a nomination by completing the online form. The nomination deadline is July 24, 2020. 
WTD Activity of the Year Award 
This NEW award recognizes a WTD partner organization that organized an outstanding and successful WTD event and/or activity last year (January-December 2019). Eligible candidates must be a WTD partner; individual candidates are not eligible. You can nominate your own organization, or someone may submit a nomination on your organization’s behalf. The winning organization receives an exciting award package including complimentary travel for a designated representative to an upcoming ISTH congress, as well as a free booth space for the organization. WTD Ambassador of the Year Award
Nominate an individual who is tremendously dedicated to thrombosis awareness and advocacy! This award is designed for thrombosis advocates, patients, survivors, volunteers, and/or organization representatives. Please note that healthcare professionals are not eligible for this award. The Ambassador of the Year is recognized throughout the year on the global WTD channels. The winner also receives a donation to a thrombosis charity of his or her choice.
