August 24th, 2022
According to a new article in The Limbic, haematologists in the UK have been told to conserve stocks of alteplase and tenecteplase amid ongoing supply constraints that are expected to last until early next year, as stocks of a key alternative thrombolytic are also running low.
According to a national patient safety alert issued by the Department for Health and Social Care and NHS England, restrictions have been put in place for supplies of these medicines until further stock is available.
