Fedele is the founder and president of Associazione Vincere la Trombosi (“Winning Thrombosis”), an awareness-focused organization that shares information about thrombosis in collaboration with the World Thrombosis Day campaign. She also manages the platform World Thrombosis Day Italy.

Her organization establishes collaborative relationships with personal trainers and sports centers to develop courses aimed at preventing thrombosis. She also works with doctors, specialists and nurses to promote VTE risk assessments in hospitals and medical clinics in Italy. In recognition of her service, Fedele was awarded the World Thrombosis Day 2020 Ambassador of the Year.

In 2017, Fedele suffered a bilateral pulmonary embolism caused by May-Thurner Syndrome. After her experience, Fedele became aware of the lack of information and awareness on the subject and she decided to dedicate her time to raise awareness about the condition.

Fedele will publish her first autobiographical book entitled From Vasco to the Vascular – My Life with May-Thurner, to be published in 2021.

Fedele lives outside of Milan, Italy with her two teenagers. She works in the technological innovation and construction field. She enjoys walking, listening to music, traveling, and cooking.
